它就是火腿。英文叫“ham”,意大利文叫“prosciutto”
It is “huotui”, in english it is called “ham”, in italian, it is called ”prosciutto”.

在中国,金华火腿的历史可以追溯到唐朝,已有一千两百年的历史,它以色、香、味、形而闻名于世。
In china, the history of jinhua huotui can be traced back to tang dynasty. It is one thousand and two hundred years ago. It is famous for the colour, fragrance, taste and shape.
为什么叫火腿呢?
Why it is called ”huotui”?
相传,北宋最后一任皇帝宋钦宗曾见到这种食物时,觉得它色泽鲜红如火,就赐名“火腿”。
According to legend,when the last emperor who is called song qinzong of the north song dynasy saw this kind of food, he thought it was as red as fire, so he named it ”huotui”. (huo means fire)

在遥远的意大利,有一种家喻户晓的食物,也叫火腿(prosciutto)。为了区别中国的火腿,中国人称这种食物为帕尔马火腿。
in italy, there is a well-known food, also called huotui (prosciutto). in order to distinguish chinese ham and italian ham. We call this food parma ham.

帕尔马火腿和金华火腿的制作工艺大相径庭,都是腌制风干后再食用。但,不同的是金华火腿需要烹饪后食用,而帕尔马火腿可以直接食用。
The way of producing parma ham and jinhua ham is simil. Befre eating, it should be salted and dried. But, the difference is that before eating, jinhua ham need to be cooked, while parma ham can be eaten directly.
